# Liteforms™

Liteforms™ is a desktop application for Windows and Mac that lets you talk to AI-powered characters and even make your own [custom characters](https://lfdocs.lookingglassfactory.com/software/experiments/liteforms/making-custom-liteforms)! \

### Hardware Requirements

* Looking Glass Go, Portrait, 16", 32", or 65".
* Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later)
* PC or laptop running Windows 10 or 11, with an internal or external microphone.
* For PC, we recommend a GTX 2070 or higher to use with the Looking Glass Go.
* For use with the[ Looking Glass 32"](https://lfdocs.lookingglassfactory.com/legacy/legacy-hardware/looking-glass-32) or [65"](https://lfdocs.lookingglassfactory.com/getting-started/looking-glass-65) please refer to the [hardware requirements](https://lfdocs.lookingglassfactory.com/readme#looking-glass-displays) for those displays.
* Stable WiFi connection.

Liteforms requires microphone access. On Windows, this connection occasionally gets blocked by Windows Defender.

### Running Liteforms on Looking Glass

To start, download and install [Looking Glass Bridge](https://lookingglassfactory.com/software/looking-glass-bridge) and [Liteforms](https://lookingglassfactory.com/software/liteforms).

Once the installation has finished, open the application. You should see a screen like the screenshot below.&#x20;

Click the **Log in** button to login to your account and start interacting with Liteforms!

Once you've logged in you should see the following screen:

From here, you can either select a Liteform and start a conversation, or you can select the "Create Liteform" button on the side menu to make your own custom Liteform to talk to!

## Troubleshooting & Known Issues

* If you cannot see the Liteform on your Looking Glass, ensure you are running the latest version of Looking Glass Bridge, available for download [here](https://lookingglassfactory.com/software/looking-glass-bridge).
* There is no feedback on whether or not WiFi is connected. Without WiFi, you won't be able to log in.
* If your WiFi connection is poor, you may have errors where Liteform won’t respond or will be delayed in responding.
* If the 2D UI opens on the Looking Glass instead of on your main display, you can press `Windows Key + Shift + Left Arrow` to move the UI to your main display.
* If you see the "offline speech" error on Windows and can't get the Liteform to listen, [follow these instructions](https://docs.lookingglassfactory.com/software-tools/liteforms/get-started-on-windows#microphone-setup).
